Barbara Ann Amundson

Barbara Amundson, the daughter of Percy and Ann (Quiring) Evers, was born on May 22, 1940 in Comfrey, MN. She grew up in Comfrey and attended school there graduating form Comfrey High School in 1958. Barb was united in marriage to James Amundson on August 5, 1960. After their marriage they made their home on a farm west of Kinbrae, MN. They worked together farming and raising their 3 daughters. They retired from farming in 1989. She worked at Toro, Maple Lawn Nursing and at Brenda’s Store in Dundee. Barb remained at the farm after Jim passed away in June of 2001. In November of 2015 she moved into Fulda and returned to the farm on January 25, 2018. Barb passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 on the farm near Kinbrae at the age of 77. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dundee where she was involved with Bible study. Barb enjoyed making flower arrangements, watching Gunsmoke and spoiling her grandchildren.

Survivors include her 3 daughters, Dawn Amundson of Mazeppa, MN, Brenda (Donnie) Kruger of Dundee, MN and Lisa (Scott) Limmer of Kinbrae, MN; 4 grandchildren, James, Cordell and Andelina Limmer and Shantel Kruger; 3 sisters, Betty Lou Evers, of Elrosa, MN, Carol Evers of St, Louis Park, MN and Connie Ibeling of Melrose, MN and brother, Gary Evers of Nevis, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim Amundson.

Funeral Services

First Lutheran Church Dundee, MN at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 with Rev. Karla Kirkeby officiating.  The pallbearers are James Limmer, Cordell Limmer, Andelina Limmer, Shantel Kruger, Jason Bartosh and Adam Hart. Interment at the Kinbrae Cemetery Kinbrae, MN.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the First Lutheran Church in Dundee and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
