Lois “Weezie” Andrea Chandler

Lois Chandler was born April 26, 1965 in Slayton, Minnesota to Ervin and Leona Scully Kremer.  She grew up on the family farm south of Iona, MN and graduated from Slayton High School in 1984.  Following high school Lois attended Rochester Community College graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree.  On March 14, 1992 she and Simon Chandler were married in Southern California.  In 1994 she graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design. Lois and Simon were blessed with two sons, Charles in 1995 and Edward in 1998.  Lois worked as an Interior Designer and in the food and hotel industry.  Lois passed away at her home in La Grange, KY on Thursday, April 5, 2018 with her family by her side at the age of 52.  Lois enjoyed spending time with friends, gardening, and making crafty creations.  She loved being with her family and of course her dogs, Taxi and Tucker.  At the Chandler home Friday night was always pizza and family movie night.

Survivors include her husband, Simon Chandler, two sons, Charles and Edward Chandler all of La Grange, KY, two furry children, Taxi and Tucker, 11 siblings and their spouses, Jeanne and Michael Cleary of Wichita, KS, Joan and John Retelle of Louisville, KY, James and Roxanne Kremer of Wilmont, MN, Glenn and Barbara Kremer of Worthington, MN, Mary and Bill Paulzine of Alexandria, MN, David and Debra Kremer of Iona, MN, Patrick and Lisa Kremer of Iona, MN, Ann and Stephen Bastian of Dayton, OH, Ronald and Sandra Kremer of Iona, MN, Alice and Rodney Spartz of Iona, MN, Rita Kremer of Lone Tree, CO, one sister-in-law, Judy Kremer of Fulda, MN, mother-in-law, Priscilla Chandler of Norwich, England, brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Zelia Chandler of Nottingham, England, sister-in-law, Vicki Applegate of Norwich, England, and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Kremer and father-in-law, John Chandler.

Memorial Services

St. Columba Church in Iona, MN on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tim Biren officiating.  The organist is Sharon Lais.  The song leader is Lisa Kremer.  The honorary pallbearers are Simon Chandler, Charles Chandler, and Edward Chandler.  Interment is at St. Columba Cemetery in Iona, MN. 

Visitation will be on Friday April 13, 2018 at St. Columba Church in Iona from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will also be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.  Memorial may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
