My condolences to all of the Gervais and Surprenant extended family. So many people respected Louise and looked up to her; me included. Although I didn't see her often, when I did our conversations were memorable to me. . She is a Murray County legend and will be greatly missed.

I was privileged to get to know Louise when I worked at the EOL for one year. We had some great talks and she certainly did a wonderful job for her community and her love the museum. Bob, my sympathies to your whole family. She is at peace and hopefully everyone does realize all she did for Currie and the museum! God bless her and all her family.

Louise was a wonderful lady! She taught me so much in 4H. She was also a wonderful boss to work for at the End of the Line Railroad Park. She always said if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well. She was a hard worker and always pushed us to do our best as well. I spent a lot of time with Robert growing up. Louise was always so kind and patient with the Currie gang even when we thought we were smarter and funnier than we really were. 😀
Rest in Peace dear lady!

We visited the End O Line each year for our third grade field. She was always so good with kids. She could spot the kids that had trouble focusing and keep them engaged. She was always promoting the area! Deepest sympathy to a great tour guide!

The Gervais family lost their matriarch, Currie lost their biggest cheerleader, Murray County lost an awesome advocate and organizations devoted to bringing consumers to Murray County lost a true friend. Louise was one-of-a-kind. Her legacy will live on for generations to come. I once told her that it was only after she had died would people begin to appreciate fully the work she had done at End-O-Line. I guess I didn’t realize how bad I would feel when that happened. Rest in peace Louise; blessed be her memory.

Hello, So very sorry to hear of Louise's death. She was a wonderful influence in my life. I carry many wonderful memories of 4-H, time at the Depot, chats between my mom, Dorothy, and Louise over coffee at the kitchen table...mostly involving "THE COMMISSIONERS' and life at IHM. I will miss her smile, laugh, and her wit. Blessings from Kent and I to all of you.
Mom is with me now, and I can't express her sadness.... she is truly overwhelmed with the loss of her best, life long friend. She has cried a river, and is grieving deeply. Know that Louise was greatly loved and respected by Dorothy and that she is wishing that she could be there for the funeral. Our hearts break for your sadness.
