Marlene Ellen Gleason

Marlene Gleason was born on December 11, 1952 in Westbrook, Minnesota to Milton and Edna Larson Hubin.  She grew up in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School.  On July 11, 1970 she and Darrell Gleason were married at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.  Following their marriage they made their home in Currie, MN and Marlene worked at the Tracy Nursing Home, the Golden Living Center-Slayton and later at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Society.  Marlene retired in 2010.  Marlene passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 63.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.  Marlene also was a member of the Currie America Legion Auxiliary and served as past president.  Marlene enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and cross-stitching.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandson, Dominik’s activities. 

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Gleason of Currie, MN; daughter, Amy Caspers and her fiancé, Brad Marks of Marshall, MN; grandson, Dominik Caspers; three siblings, Marilyn and Dave Wolfe of Medinah, IL, Merlyn and Sandy Hubin of Westbrook, MN, and Marlo and Kim Hubin of Westbrook, MN and one aunt, Iris Marshall of Westbrook, MN.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services

Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook, MN on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Swanson officiating.  The pallbearers are Dominik Caspers, Michael Hubin, Ryan Hubin, Steve Comnick, Don Hansen, and Mike Surprenant.  Interment is at the Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook, MN. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at Church on Tuesday.
