Viola Helen LeBrun

Viola LeBrun, the daughter of Henry and Catherine Schlichte Bruns, was born on June 11, 1920 in St. Kilian, MN. She grew up in St. Kilian and attended country school. Viola was united in marriage to Alfonse LeBrun on November 26, 1940 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. After their marriage they farmed near Ruthton, MN until 1941 when they moved to a farm near Wilmont, MN. They retired from farming in 1974 but continued to live on the farm. They moved into Wilmont in 1979. Alfonse passed away on December 23, 2000. Viola entered the South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN in 2000 and passed away there on January 16, 2007 at the age of 86. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont where she was a past president of the WCCW. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Survivors include her five children, Janet (Roger) Larson of Coon Rapids, MN, Larry (Sandra) LeBrun of Watertown, WI, Paulette (John) Strouth of Medicine Lake, MN, Mike (Lois) LeBrun of Wilmont, MN and Madonna (Wayne) Krueger of Green Bay, WI; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Colletta (Vincent) Tennessen of Fulda, MN and Irma (John) Schuerger of Los Angeles, CA and two brothers, Vincent Bruns of Lubbock, TX and Willis (Sue) Bruns of California. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Scott Larson, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral Services

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church Wilmont, MN at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2007 with the Fr. Gerald Kosse officiating. The organist is Linda Huisman. The soloist is Leslie Slater. The pallbearers are her grandsons, Steven LeBrun, John LeBrun, Jason LeBrun, Todd Larson, Brian Larson, Randy Larson, Jesse Strouth, Chad Krueger and Aaron Krueger. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Wilmont, MN.
