Benard Dean Loosbrock

Ben Loosbrock, the son of Victor and Emaline (Bremer) Loosbrock, was born on July 13, 1953 in Slayton, MN. He grew up Slayton and then moved to Fulda, MN when he was young and attended school at St. Gabriel’s and the Fulda High School. Ben was united in marriage to Patricia Welling in August of 1979 in Fulda. Together they had 3 children, Sarah, Jason and Andy. Ben lived in Fulda and worked for KLK Construction up until the time of his death. Ben passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at his home at the age of 64. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, working on cars and most of all he was the ultimate Handy Man.

Survivors include his children, Holly (Ryan) Knutson of Viking, MN, Sarah (Michael) Banks of Cannon Falls, MN Jason (Meredith) Loosbrock of Harrisburg, SD and Andrew Loosbrock of Sioux Falls, SD; 10 grandchildren; fiancée, Lisa Overweg of Fulda, MN and her children, Steven (Anna) Brennan of Avoca, MN and Kathleen (Dean) Cimburek of Marshall, MN; brother, Rodney Loosbrock of Fulda, MN and his children, Corey (Jamie) Loosbrock, Tonya (Jared) Roy, B.J. (Stacey) Loosbrock and Rose (Tim) Loosbrock. He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Willy Mahon.

Funeral Services

St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2017 with Msgr. R. Paul Heiting officiating.  The organist is Mary Ann Boom. The honorary pallbearers are Mike Banks, Jonathan Banks, Maribeth Banks, June Banks, Tim Bruess, Hayden Loosbrock, Steven Brennan, B.J. Loosbrock, Retten Knutson, Nolan Knutson, Dacian Knutson and Garrin Knutson.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
