In Loving Memory Of

Beulah Duncan

Beulah Duncan was born to Knute and Hilda (Anderson) Swenson near Kinbrae, MN on June 27, 1915. She grew up on the family farm and took great pride in attending the Kinbrae School through 8th grade. On February 10, 1938 she was united in marriage to Wayne Duncan at First Lutheran Church in Dundee. Following their marriage they farmed near Dundee, and near Fulda before moving to a farm Northeast of Brewster where they stayed for 39 years. In the fall of 1981 they made Brewster their retirement home. Following Wayne's death in 1997 Beulah remained in their home until 2002 when health required nursing home care. She lived at the Heron Lake nursing home until a recent health decline. Beulah passed away while in hospice care at the Sogge Good Samaritan Center, Windom, on Wednesday, March 19, 2009 at the age of 93.
Beulah was an active life-long member of First Lutheran Church, Dundee; where her maternal grandparents were founding members. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, serving in the women's group, and sharing her faith. She was known for her warm hospitality and enjoyed cooking and baking for family and guests.
Beulah is survived by her three children, Ruth (Morrie) Korthals of Omaha, NE, Roger (Sandra) Duncan of Beaver Creek, MN and Rae Ann (Mark) Mathias of Heron Lake, MN and a combination 18 grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Cy, and her husband, Wayne.
