Daryl Edward Schneider

Daryl Schneider, the son of Frederick and Emma (Wenzel) Schneider, was born on January 30, 1934 near Avoca, MN. He grew up on the farm south of Avoca and attended school in Avoca and graduated from the Slayton High School in 1953. Daryl entered the U.S. Army on January 9, 1957 and served in Germany until his discharge in October of 1958. He then returned to the farm where he lived until he moved to the Maple View Estates in Fulda in 2014. Daryl passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda at the age of 83. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Avoca. He enjoyed visiting with his relatives, crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, listening to music and doing Sudoku.

Survivors include his 2 brothers, Denis Schneider of Fulda, MN and Marvin Schneider of San Leandro, CA; 3 sisters, Beverly Ewy of Watertown, SD, Peggy McKlemurry of Ocala, FL and Donna Lindau of Wyoming, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eugene Schneider.

Funeral Services

Faith Lutheran Church Avoca, MN at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 14, 2017 with Rev. Dawn Quame officiating.  The organist is Nancy Lee Pierson. The pallbearers are Travis Pierson, Doug McKlemurry, Keith Ewy, Gary Schneider, Jerry Schneider and Michael Sieber. Interment at Prairie Hill Cemetery Fulda, MN.

Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
