In Loving Memory of
Harold Paul Haupert
Harold Haupert was born on April 26, 1936 on the family farm near Pipestone, Minnesota to Lawrence and Hedwig Staab Haupert. He grew up the family farm near Pipestone and attended country school. On September 24, 1955 he and Marian Bose were married at St. Mary’s Church in Lake Wilson, MN. Following their marriage they made their home on a farm near Lake Wilson and Harold worked for Cy Koob and Doug Mihin. They later moved to a farm near Pipestone where Harold farmed until 1967 when they moved to Lake Wilson. Harold then went to work for Barry Construction doing road construction for the next 27 years. He then went to work hauling grain for Lime Creek Elevator. Following his retirement he and Marian would spend their winters in Texas. Retirement did not last long for Harold as he went to work hauling grain for Bose farms. Due to failing health Harold moved to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton on Friday, July 5, 2019 and passed away there on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the age of 83. Harold was a member of the Lake Wilson Fire Department for 17 years. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and playing cards especially Pinochle.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Haupert of Lake Wilson, MN, five sons and their spouses, Mike Haupert, Mark and Della Haupert, Dan and Lauret Haupert all of Lake Wilson, MN, Don and Kim Haupert of Apple Valley, MN, and Dale and Julie Haupert of Savage, MN, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, seven siblings and their spouses, Joe Haupert of Zimmerman, MN, Frank and Marilyn Haupert of Big Lake, MN, Geraldine and Daryl Vos of Slayton, MN, Pat Schneller of Punta Gorda, FL, Jim and Karen Haupert of Starbuck, MN, Shirley and Jerry Barthel of St. Michael, MN, and Ron and Jan Haupert of Bayfield, WI, and one sister-in-law, Gwen Haupert of Pipestone, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Louie Haupert and Larry Haupert and his wife, Barb, sister, Rita Mae Dickey and husband, Vernon and one brother-in-law, Hank Schneller.
Funeral Services
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Harlan Kaden officiating. The organist is Paul Mesner. The pallbearers are Jacob Haupert, Brad Haupert, David Haupert, Travis Haupert, Joe Haupert, and Lacey Janikowski. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson from 4-7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
