Julie Ann Garvin

Julie Garvin, the daughter of Donald and Mary Ann (Ahlers) Garvin, was born on August 10, 1956 in Faribault, MN. She grew up on the farm south of Fulda, MN and attended St. Gabriel’s Catholic School in Fulda, and the Fulda High School graduating in 1975. Julie then attended Junior College in Worthington and then in Rochester, MN. She remained in Rochester until 2002 when she returned to live in Worthington. In 2014 she moved to Heron Lake, MN. Julie passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Heron Lake Assisted Living in Heron Lake, MN at the age of 62. She enjoyed reading and especially anything Sci Fi and volunteering.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Ann Garvin of Worthington, MN; sister, Jackie Garvin of Bailey, CO; 2 brothers, Jim (Debbie) Garvin of Minnetrista, MN and Joe Garvin of Wabasha, MN and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Don, sister-in-law, Maggie Garvin and special friend, Steve Johnson.

Funeral Services

St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 18, 2019 with Msgr. R. Paul Heiting celebrating.  The organist is Mary Ann Boom. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. The pallbearers are Dan Garvin, Shannon Skibba, Cory Skibba, Samantha Garvin, Jim Garvin, Joe Garvin and Jackie Garvin. Interment at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Cemetery Fulda, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
