Lori Ann Dierks

Lori Dierks was born on March 3, 1960 in Slayton, Minnesota to Richard and Mary Ann Biegler Martens. She grew up in Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School in 1978. On September 5, 1987, she and Dale Dierks were married at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Following their marriage, they made their home in Slayton and Lori worked at Finley Engineering, Master Tank and later at the Murray County Court House.  In 1993, Lori became a first time mother to her son, Josh and later in 1998, became a full time mother to her son, Nick. Lori loved being able to stay at home with her boys as they grew up. Lori moved to the Pipestone County Hospice Home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 and passed away there on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 58. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Lori enjoyed spending time with her family, being outdoors, gardening, animals of all kinds, and riding around on her 4-wheeler. She will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for her family.

Survivors include: her husband Dale Dierks of Slayton MN, two sons Josh Dierks of Renville MN, and Nick Dierks of Slayton MN, her mother Mary Ann Martens of Slayton MN, her brother Rick Martens and his wife Ruth of Slayton MN and several other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Martens.

Memorial Services

St. Mary’s Church in Lake Wilson, MN on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. Rick Colletti officiating. The organist is Kathy Mitchell. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
