Bonnie DeVine Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Bonnie Mae DeVine

Bonnie Mae DeVine, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 7th, 1935 to Adelore Joseph and Hannah Mae (Snodgress) Morin. She grew up both on the family farm north of Slayton, MN and in Lake Wilson, MN, attending high school in Tracy, MN. Bonnie was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Worthington, Minnesota. She and her husband, Lyle DeVine, were united in marriage in 1952. Together, they raised their four children in Anaheim, California. They retired in 1988 and built their retirement home in Grants Pass, Oregon. Later, they moved to Colorado, they then returned to Slayton for a time before moving back to California to a senior community. Throughout her life, Bonnie enjoyed being involved in the school activities of her children, including involvement as a high school band booster and grade school lunch monitor in the Anaheim school district. Bonnie also enjoyed dancing, reading, baking, gardening, playing cards, crocheting, and tatting. Wherever Bonnie was, she had music playing. Bonnie was an angel and will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Lyle DeVine, her four children—Judy (John Imsdahl) DeVine, Loren (Kim) DeVine, Brian (Jeannine) DeVine, Aaron (Robert) DeVine—six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Roberta Grimes and Carol Ford, and brother Donald Morin.
