Brian Harris Hanson
Brian Hanson was born on June 12, 1954 in Tracy, Minnesota to Myrl and Iola Knakmuhs Hanson. He grew up in Walnut Grove, MN until 1958 when the family moved to Hadley, MN. Brian graduated from Slayton High School in 1973. In 1974 Brian moved to Slayton and worked at Champion Homes in Slayton. In 1992 he went to work as a custodian for the Slayton Schools until 2001 when health reasons made it necessary to quit. In 2004 Brain went to work as a custodian at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Tracy and later drove truck for Chapman’s out of Fulda, MN. In 2008 health reason made it necessary for his to retire. On October 1, 2020 Brian moved to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton where he passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the age of 66. He was a member of Three Church in Slayton. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, Motorcycles and racing with the Muecke’s.
Survivors include his two children, Nick Hanson and his wife, Marie and Kendra Hanson both of Slayton, MN, two granddaughters, Keyane and Hannah, and two brothers and their spouses, Barry and Cindy Hanson of Hadley, MN, and Wade and Dana Hanson of Eagan, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two infant sons, Travis and Heath Hanson.
A graveside service will be on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Slayton Memorial Gardens in Slayton, MN at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pete Beerman officiating. The honorary pallbearers are Chad Muecke, Gary Muecke, Roger Wildfeuer and Dean Larson.
