Bryan Lund

Bryan Paul Lund, the son of Mervin and Vernis (Horn) Lund, was born on August 25, 1955 in Slayton, MN. He grew up on a farm in rural Fulda near Oaks Lake and attended country school. Bryan graduated from Fulda High School in 1973. He then attended college in Worthington and Sioux Falls, SD graduating from Sioux Falls College in 1978. Bryan was united in marriage to Linda Wood on June 11, 1977 in Kearney, NE. After their marriage they lived in Sioux Falls and in Fulda and then moved to their present farm outside of Fulda in 1985. He worked as a cook and manager of Slayton’s Hub Drive-in, an assistant Football Coach for the Fulda Raiders and an adult ESL teacher for new immigrants at Worthington Community ED retiring in 2020. Bryan passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at his home at the age of 68. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Worthington where he was on the mission committee, taught release time and Wednesday night kids’ program. He also belonged to the Fulda Jaycee’s in the 70’s and 80’s. He was the Bondin Twp. Treasurer and a founding member of the Fulda Ambulance from 1980 until 1985. He enjoyed grilling, gardening, keeping up with friends on facebook and posting jokes. One of his greatest joys was connecting with his friends in the Garo Hills. Bryan loved hosting get togethers and being surrounded by family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lund of Fulda, MN; 4 children, Jasmine Bray of Fulda, MN, Michael Lund and Brei Johannes-Lund of Columbus, OH, David Lund and PaShia Lee of St. Paul, MN and Daniel and Katie Lund of Memphis, TN; 7 grandchildren; sister, Lana and Ken Zins of Fulda, MN and 18 foreign exchange students. He is preceded in death by his parents and stillborn son, Hunter John Lund.

Funeral Services

Fulda High School Fulda, MN at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 1, 2024 with Pastor Scott Barber officiating.  Special music provided by Sherri Isder, David Lund and Daniel Lund and the Grace Community Worship Team.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 31, 2023 from 3 to 5 PM at the Fulda High School in Fulda and one hour prior to the service at the school on Monday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
