Carroll Joyce Coffitt

Carroll Coffitt was born on June 17, 1932, in Fulda, Minnesota to John and Helen Fish Coffitt.  The family later move to Minneapolis, MN where Carroll attended Cambridge Elementary.  Carroll lived in several facilities until 1983 when she moved to Slayton, MN.  Carroll made her home with Myron Elq, and with Roy and Laura Carter.  She later had an apartment at Southgate in Slayton.   Carroll worked at the Slayton DAC and the Slayton Pizza Ranch.  In January 1999 Carroll moved in with Mavis Carlson where she made her home until moving to Prairie View.  Carroll passed away at Prairie View in Slayton on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the age of 89.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Slayton. Carroll volunteer at Trinity Preschool for many years.  She enjoyed puzzles, dancing, eating out, shopping, riding bike, playing cards, paint by number, knitting, word search and visiting with friends.

Survivors include her sister, Shirley Willets and her husband, Bob of Minneapolis, MN, one sister-in-law, Lynn Coffitt of Minneapolis, several nieces and nephew and their families and her many friends and caregivers at Prairie View.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Donna Miller and her husband, Howard, and brother, Dale Coffitt.

A graveside service will be on Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Prairie Hill Cemetery in Fulda at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Shawn Ethridge officiating.
