Dale Franklin Brock

Dale Brock, the son of Cecil and Sylvia (Patten) Brock, was born on November 26, 1932 in Sutherland, IA. He grew up in Sutherland until kindergarten when the family moved to Linn Gove, IA and later to Everly, IA where he continued schooling until his Junior year when they moved to Fulda, MN. He graduated from the Fulda High School in 1951. Dale was united in marriage to Elizabeth Denney on November 21, 1952. After their marriage they lived in Fulda where Dale worked as a salesman and later sales manager for Moorman Feeds for many years. He was known for his great customer service. Dale passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Zumbrota Nursing Home in Zumbrota, MN at the age of 88. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda where he was a very active member. Dale was on the Board of Directors’ for the State Senior Federation. He also served on the Fulda School Board and the Prairie Hill Cemetery board for a number of years. He was also active in the Senior Citizens Center in Fulda. Dale enjoyed playing cards, traveling, woodworking, hunting, fishing, making fishing lures and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Brock of Zumbrota, MN; 3 children, Lisa (Brian) Grothe of Fulda, MN, Julie (Gary) Johnson of Sauk Rapids, MN and Deb (Dave) Thill of Kasson; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and brother, Wayne (Dorine) Brock of Garvin, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, great-granddaughter, Caroline Hanson, sister, Jean Charlet, half-sister, Ruth Spencer and half-brother, Bert Brock. 

Graveside services were held at the Prairie Hill Cemetery Fulda, MN.
