Darrin Thomas Grogan

Darrin Grogan, the son of Richard and Elaine (Rolfes) Grogan, was born on December 15, 1965 in Omaha, NE. In 1968 the family moved to Worthington, MN and in 1971 to Lake Wilson, MN. Darrin attended Chandler Lake Wilson Public Schools. He worked at the Slayton Care Center and in Minneapolis as a CNA for several years before moving to Blackhawk, SD where he worked in Construction. In 2002 he moved back to Lakeville, MN and started working for McCormick Construction, Darrin was united in marriage to Jennifer Wright and had three children (two girls and a boy) and lived in several states before moving to Chandler, MN in 2011. They were divorced in 2013. He later purchased a house at Lake Shetek, but lost it to a fire in December of 2018. Darrin passed away on December 28, 2019 at the age of 54. His special interests were his children, collecting guitars, other antiques and his job with McCormick Construction.

Survivors include his children, Karissa(15), Kyla(12) and Riley Thomas(10); parents, Richard and Elaine Grogan of Iona, MN; grandmother, Jeanette Rolfes; 3 brothers, Rick Grogan of Iona, MN, Todd (Glenda) Grogan of McKinney, KY and Jody (Maria) Grogan of Slayton, Lake Shetek, MN; 7 nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Taylor and Derek Grogan, Brice (Amanda) Grogan, Cassie Jordan and Sawyer Grogan; great-nephew, Jensen Grogan; great-niece, Halana Grogan; many aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence and Jennie Grogan and William Rolfes; uncles, Gordon Rolfes and William Grogan; aunt, Linda Grogan and nephew, Tony Grogan.

A private family service was held on January 1, 2020 at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton, MN. Interment will be at a later date at St. Columba Cemetery in Iona, MN.
