Dennis Dale Haase

Denny Haase was born on May 25, 1944, in Milaca, Minnesota to George and Phyllis Schewe Haase.  He grew up in Bloomington, MN and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1961.  In 1974 he moved to Slayton, MN.  On May 10, 1975, he and Karen Tverberg were married in Baltic, SD.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Slayton where Denny owned and operated Proctor Sanitation.  Following the sale of the sanitation company Denny went to work with for his brother at Superior Sawing and Sealing.  He later went to work for Schaap Sanitation until his retirement in 2019.  Denny passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 78.  Denny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on rebuilding his Ford, and spending time in his shop.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Haase of Slayton, four children and their spouses, Dawn and Justin Honer of Pine River, MN, Daryl and Mandi Haase of Brandon, SD, Daniel and Teresa Haase of Morton, MN, and David and Lori Haase of Wabasso, MN, 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one on the way in May 2023, five siblings and their spouses, Lonnie and Pat Haase of Cedar, MN, Harley and Deb Haase of Excelsior, MN Susan and Fred Renich of Eugene, OR, Pat and Dave L‘Heureux of Otsego, MN, and John and Pam Haase of Mora, MN, and several nieces and nephews and their families.  He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Chad Kramer and one sister, Katheen Wadsworth.
