Dianne Joyce Lundblad
Dianne Lundblad was born on November 27, 1949, in Tracy, Minnesota to Floyd and Virginia Weaver Saxton. She grew up in Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School in 1967. Dianne and William Engbarth were married in Woodstock, MN and to this union came four children, John, Billy, James, and Stacy. Dianne and William later divorced. On September 3, 1983, she and Dennis Lundblad were married at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. They made their home in Slayton, Beresford, SD, and most recently Pipestone, MN. Due to failing health Dianne moved to Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD on February 14, 2022. She passed away there on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 72. She was a past member of Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Dianne loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, shopping with her sisters, playing cards, and puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Lundblad of Pipestone, MN, four children, James and Andrea Engbarth of Beresford, SD, Stacy Welch of Pipestone, MN, Anthony Lundblad of Bellingham, WA and Timothy Lundblad of Bellingham, WA, one daughter-in-law, Mary Engbarth of Slayton, MN, six grandchildren, Gabrielle and Carter Engbarth, Ivy Engbarth, Sage Welch and Dylan Knecht, and Riley and Brooke Engbarth, special family friend, Monique Dempcy of Marshall, MN, six siblings, Karen Kraft of Rockwell City, IA, Sharon Bennett of Worthington, MN, Robert Saxton and his wife, Peggy of Shakopee, MN, Susan Gass and her husband, Robert of Slayton, MN, Phyllis Kuhlamn and her husband, Norm of St. Peter, MN, and Richard Saxton of Eckert, CO, two brothers-in-law, Leroy Johnson of Slayton, MN, and Lenard Lundblad of Richmond, VA, and several nieces and nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Billy and John Engbarth, grandson, Carter Engbarth, one sister, LaVonne Johnson, two brother-in-law, Elroy Bennett, and Ralph Kraft, and one sister-in-law, Peggy Saxton.
Memorial Services
Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton, MN on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating. The organist is Theresa Nysevold. The honorary pallbearers are Brian Gass, Mike Bennett, and Jeff Saxton. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements. To send condolences visit totzkefuneralhome.com. Due to the Covid-19 concerns mask will be optional and the family has chosen not to have a time of fellowship following the services on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD.
