Dorothy Mae Reitsma
Dorothy Reitsma was born on April 29, 1934 in Sibley, Iowa to Fred and Cato Natte Reitsma. The family later moved to the Chandler, MN area where Dorothy attended country school. Dorothy work at Campbell Soup in Worthington, MN and made her home in Slayton, MN. In 2016 Dorothy became a resident of the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. Where she passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the age of 86. She was a member of Lake Sarah Baptist Church in rural Slayton.
Survivors include one brother, Fred Reitsma of Sioux Falls, SD, one sister, Bernice Bose and her husband, Don of Lake Wilson, MN, and several nieces and nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings and their spouses, Carl and Kathleen Reitsma, Edwin and Marge Reitsma, and Minnie and Ed Cramer.
In an effort to keep everyone safe a private family service will held at Lake Sarah Baptist Cemetery on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 with Rev. Harlan Kaden officiating.
Per MN Executive Order, masks will be required and social distancing and occupancy limits are to be followed.
