Ethel Mae Miller
Ethel Miller, the daughter of Robert and Ethel Maude (Rarick) McConnell, was born on November 20, 1922 in Bondin Twp., Murray Co., MN. She attended District 113 Country School and graduated from the Fulda High School in 1941. Ethel then attended the Mankato School of Cosmetology. She worked at 3M’s Defense Plant in Slayton from 1944 until it closed. Ethel made her home in Lime Lake Twp. until she was united in marriage to Elmer “Bud” Miller on July 2, 1960. After their marriage they lived and raised their family in Bear Lake Woods, Lowville Twp., Murray Co. Ethel remained at home after Bud passed away in January of 2006. Ethel passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her home at the age of 98.
Survivors include her children, Stanley (Verna) DeBough of Hampton, MN, Barb (Royce) Marble of Slayton, MN, Brian Miller of Hadley, MN and Bonnie Gullickson of Marshall, MN; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 7 step great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Douglas DeBough and Bruce Miller, grandson, Troy DeBough, great-granddaughter, Sage Marble, 4 brothers, Roy Wahl, Bob McConnell, James McConnell and Richard McConnell and 4 sisters, Dorothy Schumacher, Ora Daleska, Violet Conner and Monta Metz.
Funeral Services
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Slayton City Cemetery Slayton, MN. The pallbearers are Ben Marble, Matt Miller, Brian Marble, Jordan Marble, Kristian Brouwer, Bill Gullickson and Caden Marble. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, Nathan Woodgate, Brinley Marble, Jensen Grogan, Halana Grogan, Sebastian Morgan, Jackie Marble, Aurelia Ahlers, Everly Ahlers and Kinsley Marble.
The Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton is assisting the family with arrangements.
