In Loving Memory Of
Glen Gunderman
Glen Adolph was born to Adolph and Mildred (Dierks) Gunderman on October 26, 1938 and brought into the family of God through the waters of baptism on November 13, 1938. He confirmed his faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Fulda in 1952. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran school and Fulda high school, graduating in 1956. He then served eight years in the army reserves while farming the family farm (established 1886) in Nobles County near Fulda.
He was united in holy matrimony with Wilma Kay Kopischke, on February 17, 1962. Together they raised three children and farmed for 61 years, retiring in 2022.
Glen was very active in the ministry of the church, serving in many capacities in both the church and the school.
Glen loved God, family, the color yellow, playing 500, Dr. Pepper, butterscotch, ice cream, and pumpkin pie. He loved attending his children and grandchildren’s activities.
His joy in the Lord was evident in everything he did. We rejoice that he is rejoicing with his Savior and others that have preceded him – his parents, brother Rev. Vernon Gundermann, sister and brother-in-law Patricia/Rev. Barrie Henke and other family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, his children/spouses - Brenda (Rev. Bill) Hugo, Darin (Amy) Gunderman, Elyse (Shawn) Wilde; Seven grandchildren - Chris (Katie) Hugo, Ben (Sydney) Hugo, Will Hugo, Michael Gunderman, Darya Gunderman, Ian Wilde, Aubree Wilde; Great-Grandchild - Lucas Hugo; sister – Eileen Runia; sister-in-law, Betty Gundermann; and many other nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
As Glen was known to say to his children as they left the house, we say to you, “Take Jesus with you!”
