Glenda Nielsen

Glenda Rae Nielsen, the daughter of Glenn and Gertrude (Bentz) Gibb, was born on May 28, 1959 in Worthington, MN. She grew up on the family farm with her parents and sister, Audrey. She attended Reading Elementary School and Worthington High School and graduated from the Fulda High School. Glenda was united in marriage to Dan Nielsen on April 14, 1979 at the Rushmore Presbyterian Church. After their marriage they lived in Brookings, SD, Lynn, MN, Iona, MN and rural Fulda, MN for the last 30 years. Glenda passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home at the age of 62. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda where she served on the board of education. Glenda enjoyed camping, raising chickens, spending time with her grandkids and going to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Nielsen of Fulda, MN; 5 children, Brian (Rachel Stevens) Nielsen of Fulda, MN, Brenda Nielsen of Trimont, MN, Emily Nielsen of Fulda, MN, Dan (Amber) Nielsen of Worthington, MN and Lili Nielsen of Fulda, MN and 8 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Audrey Kolander. 

A celebration of life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
