Vaughn, Ben, Maria & family,
I wanted to express my sympathy to you on the loss of your Mom. I remember being at Grandpa Joe's and Joan's bright happy eyes and smiles when they visited too. She is in my prayers, and was a blessed aunt. I am sorry that I didn't make it to Slayton for the funeral, we've been gone on vacation and I didn't get back until this weekend. Dennis and I were so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. We lived on the corner of Linden and 30th and Joan and Glen were wonderful neighbors and friends. Joan's daughter Maria was born shortly after our son Richard and I remember the two of them playing together as toddlers. Joan and I shared many times together and I will always remember her with fondness. Our sympathy to Vaughn, Ben and Maria.
