Joe Zieske
Joe Zieske, the son of Robert and Kathleen (Masterson) Zieske, was born on July 29, 1956 in Tracy, MN. He grew up in Walnut Grove, MN and attended school until his Junior year of high school when the family moved to Fulda, MN. Joe graduated from the Fulda High School in 1974 and then went on to graduate from Mankato State University. He then returned to Fulda and began working as a Commodity Broker in Marshall, MN until his retirement. Joe passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the Worthington Sanford Medical Center at the age of 67. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, playing cards and going to the horse track. Joe loved all his cats and dogs and “razzing” his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his significant other, Therese Bekx of Fulda, MN; siblings, Margaret “Peggy” (Gary) Kulseth of Windom, MN, Mary “Teri” (Daris) Nelson of Marshall, MN, JoAnn (Doug) Swenson of Sioux Falls, SD, Trish (Glen) Kramer of Avoca, MN, Molly (Duane) Fenske of Fulda, MN, Katy (Myron) Jonas of Apple Valley, MN and Rich (Arianne) Zieske of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Doug) Lohse of Windom, MN and Nancy MacGregor of Windom, MN and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Champ Zieske and Harry and Ann Bekx.
Funeral Services
St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 with Fr. Antony Arokiyam celebrating. The organist is Dana Hogan. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. Special music by Karmel Holinka. Honorary pallbearers are his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
