Joyce Marie Mormann

Joyce Mormann was born on December 10, 1944, in Worthington, Minnesota to John and Jeneva Marsh Nau.  She grew up on a farm near Brewster, MN, and attended Brewster High School.  On August 25, 1962, she, and Joseph “Joe” Mormann were married at Sacred Heart Church in Brewster.  Following their marriage, they farmed northwest of Adrian.  In 1968 they moved to the Mormann family farm and raised their two children while farming together.  They retired in 1978 but remained on the farm until 1997 when they moved to Adrian.  Joyce then stared a in home daycare business.  On April 5, 2007, Joe passed away.  Joyce later joined with her daughter, Michelle running her daycare.  In 2019 Joyce moved to Parkview Manor in Ellsworth, MN and in 2020 she moved to Adrian Country Living Cottages.  She remained in Adrian until 2022 when she moved to South Shore Care Center in Worthington, MN.  She passed away there on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the age of 78.  She was a member of St. Adrian Church in Adrian.  She was active in Catholic Daughters of America and with the CCW.  Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, baking, cooking, and playing cards. 

Survivors include her two children, Mike Mormann and Maria Villarreal and Michelle Bullerman  and her husband, Delbert both Adrian, MN, eight grandchildren,  Aaron Mormann and Ranessa Nichols, Ashley and Josh Maurice, Abby and Dayton Kern, Brandon and Kate Bullerman, Kayla and Matthew McKee, Brock and Gabby Bullerman, Macey and Reed Skattum and Beau Bullerman, 14 great-grandchildren, five siblings and their spouses, Phil and Jan Nau of May City, IA, Lenny and Sue Nau of Worthington, MN, Loretta and Ed Smith of Brewster, MN Doug and Lori Nau of Worthington, MN, and Steve and Marc Nau of Minneapolis, MN, one brother-in-law, Doug Ruehle of Jesup, IA and many nieces and nephews and their families.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, daughter-in-law, Julia Mormann, infant great-granddaughter, Joanna Bullerman, four siblings, Leo Nau, Francis Nau, Linda Ruehle and Kathy Davis and her husband, Lynn Davis. 

Funeral Services

St. Adrian Church in Adrian, MN on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Richard Colletti officiating.  The organist is Karen Cook.  The song leader is Jason Cook.  The pallbearers are her grandchildren.  Interment is at St. Adrian Cemetery in Adrian, MN.
