Kathleen Sharon Louise Walther

Kathleen Walther, the daughter of Stanley and Rose (Satrom) Tostengard, was born on September 25, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up near Dovray, MN and attended elementary school in Dovray and graduated from Westbrook High School. She then attended Luther College in Decorah, IA. Kathy was united in marriage to Duane Walther on May 20, 1961 in Dovray. After their marriage they lived in Slayton, MN until 1968 when they moved to Fulda, MN. Kathy remained at home after Duane’s death in February of 2012. Kathy passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her home at the age of 80. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Kathy enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, sewing, reading, Bingo, painting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her 4 children, Hannah Vongphachan of Fulda, MN, Nathan Walther of Fulda, MN, Amy (Bodie) Deuschle of Avoca, MN and Elizabeth (Ron) Mitchell of Slayton, MN; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 grandchildren, and brother, Sheldon Tostengard. 

Services

Graveside services at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery Avoca, MN on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dale Degner officiating.

The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
