Keith Johnson Obituary

In Loving Memory Of

Keith Larry Johnson

Keith Johnson, the son of Simon and Sophie (Huge) Johnson, was born on January 12, 1951 in Tyler, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Chandler, MN, where he attended school, graduating from the Chandler High School in 1969. Keith lived in Westbrook, MN and started selling Moorman Feed for 16 years. On April 24, 1993 Keith was united in marriage to Donna Bonnstetter in Slayton, MN where they resided in Slayton, MN. He established his own successful business, Johnson Feed and Equipment, where he sold equipment, livestock (pigs), and feed for Ralco which he operated from 1989 until his retirement in 2013. Keith passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Hospice of Murray County in Slayton at the age of 70. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Ann‘s Catholic Church where he enjoyed making the church lawn look beautiful. Keith’s pride was his family and grandkids and he loved spending every moment with them. “Family Fun Time” was his catch phrase and he always made sure it rang true at his favorite place on Lake Sarah. Family gatherings always consisted of a room full of laughter while playing cards. Keith enjoyed riding his John Deere tractors for any project, but especially when caring for his lawns. A thick deep green lawn with no weeds was one of his greatest joys. In the fall, he would venture outdoors to hunt with family and friends. In between his interests he could be found tinkering and building projects in his “Man” Shed. But no matter what time of day he was always up for a bowl of ice cream
