Kevin Douglas Evers

Kevin Douglas Evers was born February 23rd, 1956 in Worthington MN at a whopping 10 lbs 11oz to Alfred and Betty (Beckmann) Evers. He grew up on a farm near Fulda, by the Pfingsten Church. He treasured his childhood memories with his bros, cousins, and neighborhood kids. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and graduated from Fulda High School in 1974. On August 4th, 1979, he was united in marriage to Karla Wolf. They were blessed with 47 years together and 2 children. Kevin loved to fish and passed that love down to his children. He enjoyed watching sports, Game Show Network, and TV Land. He was known to drink cold beers and listen to loud rock and roll. For seven years, Kevin fought a hard battle with cancer and passed away on Tuesday, February 21st 2023, at his home in Dundee, MN at the age of 66. Left to cherish his memories: wife, Karla, dog Ziggy, daughter, Kari Hoonhorst of Fulda; son, Kristopher (Kelsie) Evers, of Prior Lake; beloved grandbabies Alabama Hoonhorst and Silas Evers and brother, Beaver Evers of Fulda. Every night Kevin said his prayers and knew God, parents, Alfred and Betty Evers, brother, Kenneth Evers, uncle, Alvin Evers, in-laws, Fred and Elizabeth Wolf and sister in-laws, Norma Boda and Marjorie Ruesch were waiting for him. Special thanks to Murray County Hospice, and all his nurses and doctors over the years. 

Funeral Services

First Lutheran Church Dundee, MN at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2023 with Rev. Lance Isaacson officiating.  The organist is Norma Dittman.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 11 AM at the First Lutheran Church. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
