Lee David Larson
Lee Larson was born on November 28, 1954, in Slayton, Minnesota to David and Marge Dahlquist Larson. He grew up near Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School in 1973. Lee then attended Jackson Vo-Tech for Auto Mechanics graduating in 1975. On November 20, 1976, he and Eldora “Tubby” Kalas Miller were married in Slayton. Following their marriage, they made their home near Balaton for one year before moving to Currie, MN. In 1978 they moved to a farm near Slayton and in 1979 they moved into Slayton. Lee worked at Harlan’s Hardware in Slayton and Schmitz Grain. He later went to work for Swift in Worthington where he remained for over 29 years retiring in 2017. Tubby passed away on November 16, 2015. Lee passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 66. He was a member of St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Lee enjoyed visiting with family and friends, camping, watching tv and his dogs.
Survivors include his five children and their spouses, Randy Miller of Slayton, MN, Bob and Gayle Miller of Slayton, MN, Lisa and Jason Schreier of Avoca, MN, Jim Larson and Casandra Kleinjan of Slayton, MN, and Mike and Lindy Larson of Slayton, MN, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his mother, Marge Larson of Slayton, MN, sister, Janet and Dale Schaeffer of Avoca, MN, and several in-laws and their families. He is preceded in death by his father, David Larson, wife, Eldora “Tubby” Larson, son, Richard Miller, sister, Lori Larson, brother, Jeff Larson and several in-laws.
Memorial Services
St. Ann’s Church in Slayton, MN on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Thien Nguyen officiating. The organist is Judy Andrews. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. Interment is at Slayton City Cemetery in Slayton, MN.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton from 4-6 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
