Leslie “Les” Edwin Swinehart, the son of Wallace and Cora (Williams) Swinehart, was born on March 10, 1956 in Lancaster, PA. He grew up in Elizabethtown and attended school and graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1974. Les then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1976 and served until 1986 and then served in the U.S. Navy Reserves until his retirement in 1998. Les was united in marriage to Teresa Fuerstenberg on October 25, 1979 in Folkston, GA. After their marriage they lived Hilliard, FL, Philadelphia, PA, Charleston, SC before returning to Philadelphia after retirement. Les passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Sanford Medical Center in Worthington, MN at the age of 68. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, collecting coins, anything history and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Swinehart; daughters, Elizabeth (Gary) DiEnna, Dawn Swinehart and Amanda (Michael Janes) Swinehart; 5 grandchildren, Madelene, Rebecca, Michael, Leilah and Alexis; mother, Cora Swinehart; brother, Tim (Tracy) Swinehart; father-in-law, Don Fuerstenberg and sister-in-law, Donna (John) Sauer. He is preceded in death by his father, sister, Valarie McEwen and sister-in-law, Melea Maynard.

Interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery Fulda, MN.
