In Loving Memory Of
Lloyd Norman Dierks
Lloyd Dierks, the son of Theodore and Martha (Boehnke) Dierks, was born on June 14, 1930 in Fulda, MN. He grew up on a farm near Fulda and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Fulda and graduated from Fulda High School in 1948. He entered the U.S. Army in 1952 and served in Korea until his discharge in 1953. Lloyd was united in marriage to Shirley Finke on November 29, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Fulda. After their marriage they lived on a farm outside of Fulda where they farmed and raised livestock. Lloyd moved into Fulda after Shirley passed away in September 2004. Lloyd passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home at the age of 92. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulda where he held many church positions. Lloyd also served on the Fulda Area Credit Union Board and Graham Lake Township Board. He enjoyed fishing trips with the guys, watching basketball games at any level and would be in the front row of the bleachers or in a recliner in front of someone’s TV. He also enjoyed card games with the grandkids and anyone else that would play. He loved helping his son in his carpentry business for many years. Lloyd has really made his mark in recent years while living at Maple View Apartments. He can usually be found playing cards and making jokes. He has connected with many of the staff and other residents. These new friendships will run deep for many years.
