Lynn David Paugh

Lynn Paugh was born on September 29, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to George and Florence Johnson Paugh.  He grew up in the Grand Rapids area and graduated from Greenway High School in 1966.  On July 1, 1967, he and Patricia “Pat” Mattfield were married at Mt. Olive Church in Bovey, MN.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Twin Lakes, MN until 1969 when they moved to Colton, SD.  In 1986 they moved to California where they lived for 17 years.  Lynn worked for Alumax Mill Products as a certified forklift mechanic.  In 2003 they returned to Minnesota and settled in Slayton and later moving to Iona, MN.  Lynn owned and operated a Lawncare Service.  In August 2022 Lynn moved to the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda.  He passed away there on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the age of 75.  He was member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Slayton where he served as usher and on the church board.  Lynn served on the Iona City Council for several years.  He enjoyed putting model cars together, old cars and landscaping.  He was a jack of all trades and loved tinkering on anything.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Paugh of Iona, MN, three children, Jody Paugh and his wife, Mirna of Iona, MN, Corey Paugh and his wife, Penny of Statesville, MN, and Kandi Paugh of Denver, CO, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two siblings and their spouses, Gail and David Schroeder of Branson, MO and Ed and Kathy Paugh of Slayton, MN.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Victoria Harvey. 

Memorial Services

Trinity Lutheran Church in Slayton, MN on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jeffery Williams and Rev. Doug Minton officiating.  The organist is Kathy Schwartz.  The honorary pallbearers are Rickie Harvey, Jorden Gilespie and Dakota Paugh.  Interment is at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Iona, MN.
