In Loving Memory Of
Marcus Irvin Stout
Marcus Stout and his twin sister Kayla, were born on November 30, 1993 in Maplewood, MN. The doctors said he would not survive, but he developed a fighting spirit on day one of his life. He grew up in St. Paul, MN and attended school there. Marcus was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic at age 5 and it became a lifelong fight for him. On November 9, 2003 Marcus and Kayla were adopted by Lisa Stout. They lived in Coon Rapids, MN and then later moved to Pipestone, MN where he was active in band, baseball and video games. Marcus graduated from Pipestone Area High School in 2012. Marcus loved to cook, so he began his career of working in the restaurant business in various places. He was working at the Hub restaurant until May of 2021, when his health required him to quit. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Wild. Marcus was always thrilled when any team beat the “Packers”. He was an extremely hard worker and always had compassion to others when they were sick. He would give you his last dollar if you needed it. Marcus loved being around family, especially his cousins and grandma. On May 15, 2021 Marcus was diagnosed with advanced Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This became the biggest fight of his life. He endured endless hospital stays, chemo infusions and blood transfusions and never complained once. On November 17, 2021 Marcus chose to stop fighting and entered home hospice care with Hospice of Murray County. Marcus passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home in Fulda surrounded by his family at the age of 27.
