Mary Schipper

Mary Ellen Schipper, 83, of Dundee, Minnesota, passed away on August 1, 2023 in Worthington MN. She was born on July 27, 1940, in Sioux Rapids IA, to Bernard and Bertha Kundson. Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Schipper, her brother David Kundson, her children David Jass, Scott Chepa, Jodi Rindfleisch, Douglas (Jeni) Schipper, Penny (Brad) Chepa, and Robin (Bruce) Livingston, as well as her 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marlene Hart, and her daughter Kelli Kihlman. Mary had a fulfilling career as a member of the Dundee Legion Auxiliary for 42 years. She took great pride in carrying the American Flag in all the parades, truly exemplifying her patriotism and dedication to her country. Mary was an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Dundee, where she found solace and community. Her faith was an important aspect of her life. In her free time, Mary was a major contributor to the Dundee Nothing Days Celebration for many years. She enjoyed bringing joy to her community and creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

Mary Ellen Schipper will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her lifetime.

The family will hold a visitation and funeral service. The visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 4-6pm at First Lutheran Church in Dundee, Minnesota. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2pm, also at First Lutheran Church.
