 Monica “Mickey” Hanten

Monica Mary Hanten, the daughter of Albert and Sabina (Haberman) Ramert, was born on November 30, 1934, at home on the farm near Fulda, MN. She grew up on the farm and attended St. Gabriel’s School and graduated from Fulda High School in 1952. Mickey was united in marriage to John Hanten on December 29, 1952 in Fulda. After their marriage they lived in Sioux falls, SD for a few months before moving to Worthington, MN. Mickey was an accomplished seamstress, making draperies for Hanson Town & Country Furniture. She also made many dresses for her children and grandchildren, including doll clothes and barbie clothes. In 2006 they moved to Fulda. Mickey remained at their home after John passed away in April of 2017. Mickey passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Maple Lawn Senior Care in Fulda at the age of 90. She was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Debra (Dean) Ager of Duluth, MN, Dianne (Jan Erik Krohn) Welch of Oslo Norway, Denise (Randy) Dierks of Fulda, MN, David (Venus) Hanten of St. Joseph, MN, Donna Hanten of St. Michael, MN, Dorene Kellen of Sioux Falls, SD and Dixie (Aaron) Manthei of Rochester, MN and 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and was excited for the arrival of one more great grandchild and her first great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John, brother Dennis, sister Dolores, son in law Nicholas Kellen and granddaughter, Erica Krohn.

Funeral Services

 St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2025 with Fr. Antony Arokiyam officiating.  The organist is Dana Hogan. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. Interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery Fulda, MN.

 Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday with a rosary held at 12:45 PM. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
