Noah Michael Salentiny

Noah Salentiny, the son of Ken and Cathy (Horman) Salentiny, was born on November 10, 1999 in Worthington, MN. He was baptized on November 27, 1999 and confirmed on October 2, 2016 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda. He grew up on a farm east of Fulda and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Fulda and the Fulda High School, graduating in 2018. Noah then attended Sioux Falls Technical Institute where he earned his Electrian’s Degree in 2020. After school he worked for Sorlein Electric in Tea, SD and was planning on farming this spring. Noah passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Rock Valley, IA at the age of 22. He was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda where he had been an alter server. He was in the Boy Scouts, band, choir, football, basketball, BPA, FFA, National Honor Society and graduated co valedictorian of his class. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, doing anything outside, spending time with his friends and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his parents, Ken (Cathy) Salentiny of Fulda, MN; 3 sisters, Jodi (John) Carlson of Tracy, MN, Jacki (Brent) Jurrens of Slayton, MN and Christine (Alex) Schwartz of Medford, MN; partner, Michaela Vande Stroet; niece, Taylor Jurrens and 3 nephews, Daulton Carlson, Carter Jurrens and Linkoln Carlson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lawrence and Blanche Salentiny and Henry and Carolyn Horman. 

Funeral Services

St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 4, 2022 with Msgr. R. Paul Heiting and Fr. Andrew Vogel concelebrating.  The organist is Dana Hogan. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. The pallbearers are Leighton Gehl, Jon Gehl, Christian Goedtke, Tyler Ackerman, Nash Mayer, Nick Sorlein, Jack Lee, Eric Heidebrink and Will Gehl. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery Dundee, MN.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
