Norma Nelson

Norma Jean Nelson, the daughter of Walter and Clara (Fischer) Lawrence, was born on January 19, 1935 in Worthington, MN. She grew up in the Rushmore and Worthington area and attended school in Worthington, graduating from the Worthington High School. Norma was united in marriage to Curtis Nelson on August 28, 1955 in Wilmont, MN. After their marriage they lived in Rushmore, South Carolina and Wilmont. Norma remained in their home in Wilmont after Curtis died in January of 2013. Norma passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at her home in Wilmont at the age of 90. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed flowers, quilting, bird watching, bowling and her family.

Survivors include her 6 children, Curt Nelson, Keeda (Dale) Pfundt, Steve Nelson, Allen Nelson, Deanne Nelson Von Wald and Daniel (Lora) Nelson; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Zachariah and 2 brothers, Sidney (Dorothy) Lawrence and Rodger (Lorraine) Lawrence.

Funeral Services

A Private family interment will be at a later date at the Sunset Rest Cemetery Rushmore, MN.
