Rebecca “Becky” Jane Widboom

Becky Widboom was born on January 31, 1963 in Slayton, Minnesota to Wallace and Ann Sisson Widboom.  She grew up in Southwest Minnesota and graduated from Mankato East High School in 1981.  In 1983 Becky had the opportunity to serve in the Evangelism Corps.  During this year she was able to share her faith with countless others and made many lifelong friends. She loved the Lord and sharing her faith. She then attended Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA graduating with an Associate Degree. She later attended Biola University in La Mirada, CA receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree.  Becky worked as a Lab Technician and Associate Engineer for Amgen, Inc.  During the past 13 years Becky discovered her passion for Interior Design and was working as a Color Specialist for Dunn Edwards.  Becky passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, CA at the age of 57.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, jewelry making, scrap booking, sunning on the beach, Faux and Artistic painting, wielding a sledgehammer while helping friends remodel, and traveling.  She especially loved spoiling her many nieces and nephews

Survivors include her five siblings, and their spouses, Dana and Connie Widboom of Bella Vista, AR, Charlie and Beverly Widboom of Brooksville, FL, Mary and Dave Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD, JoAnn and Dave Wittrock of Blue Springs, MO and James Widboom and Lisa Melton Phoenix, AZ, and many nieces and nephews and their families.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Tami Gunderson, niece, Mari Johnson, and great-nephew, Caleb Peterson.  A service will be held at a later time due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.
