Richard Joseph Hindt

Rich Hindt, the son of George and Josephine (Virt) Hindt, was born on December 18, 1929 in Summit Lake Twp., Nobles Co, MN. He grew up in Bloom Twp. and attended country school. As a teen he moved to Otter Tail County, MN. Rich was united in marriage to JoAnn Severson on February 4, 1956 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, MN. After their marriage they lived in Otter Tail Co. until 1975 when they moved back to the home place in Bloom Twp. in Nobles County. Rich remained on the farm after JoAnn passed away in May of 1997. In 2017 he moved into Fulda where he continued to live. Rich never retired as anyone with a farmer’s heart never retires. Rich passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Our House Hospice Home of Murray County at the age of 91. He enjoyed playing cards, going to casino’s, fishing, farming, visiting with friends and family and going to picnics in Redwood Falls.

Survivors include his 4 children, Rick (Susan) Hindt of Casper, WY, Jodi (Bill) Moll of Dubois, WY, Judy (Scott) Clarke of Fulda, MN and Julie Hulstein of Fulda, MN; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings, Marian Lentz, Tootie Greger, Helen Vogel, Rose Knutson, Lloyd Hindt, Carol (Pete) Kuhl and Gary (Jenni) Hindt. He is preceded in death by his wife; son, Ronnie Hindt; granddaughter, Jessica Henning; and grandson, Shane Moll. 

The pallbearers are his grandchildren, Darin Henning, Mitch Clarke, Travis Kramer, Ben Clarke, Austin Clarke and Aron Hulstein. Interment at Slayton Memorial Gardens Slayton, MN.
