Travis Jeffrey Swanson

Travis Swanson was born on August 16, 1995, in Marshall, Minnesota to Jeffrey and Jodi Smith Swanson.  He grew up in the Avoca and Reading area and graduated from Fulda High School in 2014.  On June 17, 2017, he and Harlie Homan were married at the Hadley Lutheran Church in Hadley, MN.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Slayton.  Travis worked construction for various contractors in the area.  Travis passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in rural Slayton, MN at the age of 28.  Travis loved spending time with his boys and family, hunting, and ice fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Harlie Swanson and two sons, William, and Colt all of Slayton, MN, his father, Jeffrey Swanson and his wife, Wendy of Avoca, MN, his mother, Jodi and her husband, Mark Blau of Reading, MN, four siblings, Bradley Swanson of Adrian, MN, Steven Swanson of Slayton, MN, Sara Swanson of Sibley, IA, and Sidney Swanson of Mankato, MN, paternal grandmother, Neva Swanson of Slayton, MN and maternal grandparents, Steve and Audrey Smith of Slayton, MN and a host of other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dave Swanson, step grandparents, Fred and Nancy Blau and best friend, Rudy Ross.
