John Henry Biegler
John Biegler was born on February 1, 1925 in Iona, Minnesota to Nick and Gertrude Unkruer Biegler. He grew up in Iona and attended St. Columba School. On November 27, 1943 he and Ruth Clark were married at St. Mary’s Church in Worthington, MN. On March 19, 1945 he enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge on July 9, 1946 he retuned to Worthington, MN. He and Ruth made their home in Minnesota and California. He and Ruth later divorced. John Worked as a mechanic for Chevrolet. In his later year John moved to Wilmont, MN and in 2008 moved to Windom Good Samaritan Community in Windom, MN. Where he passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the age of 87. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Wilmont. He also was a member of the VFW. John enjoyed cars.
Survivors include his three children and their spouses, James and Patty Biegler of Fullerton, CA, John Biegler Jr. of Fullerton, CA, and Jana and Paul Viele of Yorba Linda, CA three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Frank, Lawrence, Louie, Sylvester, Bernard and Alphonse Biegler, and one sister, Frances Meyer.
Funeral Services
Our Lady of Good Counsel in Wilmont, MN on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating. The organist is Karen Cook. The song leader is Leslie Slater. The pallbearers are his family. Interment is at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery in Brea, CA.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Wilmont from 4-6 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
