Henry “Randy” Randall Bose

Randy Bose was born on June 21, 1956 in Slayton, Minnesota to Kenneth and Beryl Bjerke Bose.  He grew up in Lake Wilson and graduated in 1974 from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in Chandler, MN.  On March 27, 1975 he and Colleen Chapman were married at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson.  Following their marriage they made their home in Lake Wilson and raised their five children.  Randy worked for Bose Brothers Trucking out of Lake Wilson, Hadley Steel in Hadley, MN and later for the Chandler Co-op.  Randy retired in 1997 due to health reasons.  Randy passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at his home in Lake Wilson surrounded by his family at the age of 57.  He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson.  Randy was a member of the Lake Wilson Jaycee’s and the Hadley Lions Club. He also was a member of the Lake Wilson Fire Department and the Lake Wilson First Responders for many years.  Randy considered his greatest accomplishments to have raised his five wonderful children, his time as a fireman and first responder and being able to be a blood donor.  Randy enjoyed woodworking and made many projects for his grandchildren and donated many projects to various organizations.  Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, hunting and watching the many birds and squirrels that visited his feeders.

Those that were blessed to receive his love are his wife, Colleen Bose of Lake Wilson, MN, children and their spouses, Bryan and Mary Jo Bose of Lake Wilson, MN, Annette Bose of Lake Wilson, MN, Sheila and Stan Van Iperen of Slayton, MN, Grant and Melinda Bose of Lake Wilson, MN, Kimberly and James Van Iperen of Davis, SD, Scott and Julie Hartle of Chandler, MN and Dean and Deb DeGreeff of Chandler, MN, grandchildren, Bryanne and Dayne Bose, Stormi and Wyatt Vanden Bosch, Brayden and Laura Van Iperen, Hannah, Grace and Elijah Van Iperen, Dakota and Matthew Hensley, Peyton and Kendall Bose, Eli Ackerman, Meghan Soulek and her husband,  Phillip, Mitchell Hartle, and Michaela and Ryan DeGreeff, great-grandson, Myles Scotting, three siblings, Rod and Bev Bose of Aitkin, MN, Kathie and Bob Herren of Sioux Falls, SD and Judy and Jerry Samuelson of Lake Wilson, MN, one brother-in-law, Demce Krosschell of Lennox, SD, several nieces, nephews and cousins and mother-in-law, Agnes Chapman of Slayton, MN.  He is preceded in death by his parents, infant siblings, Dale and Dianne Bose, sister, Marge Krosschell, three nephews, Christopher Samuelson, Kenwood Krosschell and Rodney Bose Jr., and father-in-law, Harold Chapman. 

Funeral Services

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Chris Naig officiating.  The organist is Jean Christoffels with special music by Doug Chapman.  The pallbearers are David Johnson, Chad Hennings, Jason Wentzel, Gary Bose, Randy Gunnink and Jeff Zens.  Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN.  

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton from 4-7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
